At NewVision Eyecare, our goal is to promote good eye health and enable you to have the clearest vision possible. We are preferred providers with many of the most respected medical and vision insurance providers and work with them to maximize the service that you are eligible to receive. When given the proper information ahead of time, we are normally able to give you an accurate idea of your exam and treatment costs at the beginning of your appointment. For your out-of-pocket expenses, we accept cash, personal checks and Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards. We are happy to provide you with a breakdown of your expected costs either before your appointment or during the time of your visit.
The knowledgeable staff at NewVision Eyecare is experienced in working with both medical and vision insurance providers. As part of our ongoing efforts to provide superior customer service, we will work directly with your insurance company to submit claims regarding your eye health and vision care. We strive to ensure that you understand your insurance coverage and will answer any questions you may have regarding your benefits. Many current vision plans are designed to cover most of the basic vision-related costs, but not all costs associated with eye care. Most plans often require a co-payment for an office appointment as well as additional costs that are covered by the insured patient.
NewVision Eyecare accepts many of the major insurance and vision care plans including Vision Service Plan (VSP), Premera Blue Cross, Aetna, Regence Blue Shield, United Healthcare and Medicare. We work with the insurance plans from some of the areas largest employers including Microsoft, Boeing, T-Mobile, Starbucks and Amazon.com (and many more!). If you are not covered by any insurance plan then we are happy to offer discounts on both the exam and hardware costs to those that pay on the same day as their service.

Many employers are offering Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) options to their employees. Sometimes these are referred to as cafeteria plans and are elective, supplemental insurance savings plans. These plans are designed to let you save money in an account, pre-tax, to pay for additional medical expenses such as eye exams, glasses, contacts, and often laser vision surgery. Check with the benefits administrator at your work to see if you are eligible for this program. FSAs can typically be used in conjunction with any vision insurance plan to offset any out-of-pocket costs on your behalf.
Our Sammamish optometry staff understands that cost is a concern when evaluating vision care providers. We do not want cost to be an obstacle to maintaining proper eye health and good vision. We accept various forms of payment and are able to discuss financing options with you prior to any examination. At NewVision Eyecare, we also accept cash, check, and major credit cards.
