Dr. Moscovitz is a 1996 graduate of the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA and completed his optometric residency at the Indian Health Hospital in Santa Fe, NM. He has been in practice Washington State since 1997. Dr. Moscovitz is a past-president of King County’s Optometric Society and was instrumental in coordinating the Public Relations committee of the Optometric Physicians of Washington. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the Chambers of Commerce for both Mercer Island and Sammamish.
Dr. Moscovitz, his wife Kara and children Libby, Audrey and Jack live on the Sammamish Plateau and they attend Herzl Ner-Tamid congregation on Mercer Island. He is an avid golfer and played hockey throughout high school and college and continues to play the game in the Greater Seattle Hockey League. Kara is a school psychologist who completed her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology at the University of Washington. She has an associate professorship position at the UW and works in private practice with elementary school children and families. Libby and Audrey are avid dancers with Issaquah Dance Team and Jack is playing soccer with the Issaquah Soccer Club and hockey at Castle Ice in Renton. The kids think the best part of their day is when they come to their dad’s office and raid the candy drawer.
Dr. Lee is a therapeutic optometrist, trained in providing the full scope of optometric care. She is trained in managing ocular disease, fitting corneal contact lenses and provides pre-operative and post-operative care. She has a special interest in dry eye disease. Dr. Lee attended Santa Clara University in California for her undergraduate studies and graduated with a Combined Science major that allowed her to experience a unique framework of science courses. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree in Boston, Massachusetts at The New England College of Optometry.
During her final year of studies, Dr. Lee travelled throughout the country for her internships which added to her clinical knowledge base and gave her valuable experience working with diverse patient populations. She received honors in all her rotations as she worked at a community health center in Boston Massachusetts, the University of Maryland medical center in Baltimore Maryland, the Veteran Affairs medical center in Portland, Oregon, and a well-established private practice in Beverly Hills, California. She had the privilege of working with ophthalmologists and optometrists specializing in corneal and retinal disease, oculoplastics, neuro-ophthalmology, and pediatric vision care.
She believes it is important to take the time to educate patients about their ocular health and finds a rewarding career in optometry because it provides the opportunity to develop long- term meaningful relationships with patients. She is a native of Washington State and currently resides in Sammamish with her husband James and her two young kids.
Rebecca has been the office manager at NewVision Eyecare since 2001 but has been working in optometric practices since 1977. She has been working with Dr. Moscovitz since 1999 after having moved to the Northwest from California in 1997. Rebecca makes her home on the Sammamish Plateau but enjoys heading south to the desert for the sun and the heat. She also cherishes her travels east to Illinois where she can spend time with her son, Ben, and her grandson, Zane. Rebecca is skilled in all aspects of your family’s eye care needs and can answer all of your insurance questions as well. Above all, Rebecca will provide you with a customer service experience that cannot be matched anywhere. She strives to satisfy each and every goal you have as one of our patients so that your expectations are not just met but rather they are exceeded.
